Job summary

Harmony United Psychiatric Care in Haines City, FL is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern for outpatient services. This Independent Contractor role offers flexible hours, telehealth options, and a chance to work with a multidisciplinary team providing psychotherapy, assessments, and counseling to patients aged five and up.

Requires a master’s degree in mental health fields and an active Florida Intern license or in-process.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy.
• Active Florida Intern license or in the process of getting one.
• Outpatient setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with mental health conditions.
• Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and strategies.
• Documentation of services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling via continuing education.
