Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Oregon is seeking a Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) to support telehealth operations at the assigned site and connect with remote care locations. You will help prepare clinical spaces and equipment for examinations and treatments, and serve as a telepresenter during CVT and VA Video Connect encounters.

You will monitor room and technology schedules, provide patient education, and offer technical and administrative support for telehealth.

Qualifications

• Note: Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions may be used to qualify for Federal employment.
• If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the clinical environment, which may include preparing medical and telecommunications equipment to be used for clinical examination and treatment.
• Serving as a telepresenter within scope of practice during clinical video telehealth (CVT) and VA Video Connect (WC) encounters.
• Monitoring and maintaining schedules of rooms, patients, technologies, clinical providers and presenters as needed to ensure efficient telehealth operations; Providing patient education.
• Providing technical and administrative support of telehealth operations.
• Scheduling simple and complex intra-facility and inter-facility telehealth appointments.
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology.
• Performing a variety of program support duties as assigned.
