Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians, supporting telehealth encounters and collaborating with care teams at the Cherry Hill site in New Jersey.

Responsibilities include patient rounds, safe environment maintenance, equipment and supply management, and facilitating remote exams using telehealth technology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care/hygiene and daily living needs.
• Understanding of healthcare risks and patient safety.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with patients, families and staff.
• Knowledge of diverse patient backgrounds and effective collaboration.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with supplies and equipment to support unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May assist with remote clinical exams using peripheral devices and telehealth tools.
