Job summary

Jefferson Health in Turnersville, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed clinical team. The role supports telehealth encounters and collaborates with multiple departments to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient rounds, maintaining supplies, and functioning as a virtual safety associate when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of communicating with diverse patients and families.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs validated and designated direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient care needs under direction of licensed clinical team members.
• Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds as assigned, anticipates patient needs, and answers/responds to patient call lights or pages promptly.
• May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs.
