Job summary

Regional Recruitment are seeking an experienced Telehandler / Forklift Driver to join a busy construction project in Shrewsbury. Immediate start available. This is a temporary, full-time role with weekly pay; DOE.

Operate the telehandler safely, load and distribute materials to site operatives, and carry out daily machine checks. Desirable: UK Driving Licence and Slinger/Signaller qualification. Maintain high standards of health and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Essential construction site experience and ability to work safely on site.
• Must hold a valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket.
• Mandatory Medical Certificate and full PPE for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Telehandler safely and efficiently around site.
• Load, unload and distribute materials to site operatives.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report defects.
• Assist with deliveries and ensure materials are stored correctly.
• Work with site management and subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety regulations on site.
• Support general site duties as required.

You will be responsible for operating the telehandler safely, supporting site operations, and ensuring materials are delivered efficiently across the project.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Previous construction site experience
• Full PPE
• Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures

Desirable:

• UK Driving Licence
• Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Experience on large-scale construction projects

• Working closely with site management and subcontractors.

• Following all site health and safety regulations at all times.
• Supporting general site duties where required.
• Ensuring all lifting and movement operations are completed safely.
• Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by site management.

As a Telehandler / Forklift Driver, you will also be expected to:

• Hold a valid Medical Certificate (mandatory).
• Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.
• Complete all required site documentation accurately.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
