Job summary

Littleton Elementary School District Exceptional Student Serv. in Tolleson, Arizona seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide speech and language services under supervision of a licensed SLP.

The role includes therapy delivery, screenings support, data collection, and collaboration with teachers to support IEP goals. The position requires a relevant degree, licensure, driving to multiple sites, and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology
• Knowledge of IEPs and speech-language pathology services
• Ability to work under supervision of licensed SLP

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students under the licensed SLP
• Assist with speech-language screenings (without interpreting results)
• Follow treatment plans or protocols from the licensed SLP
• Monitor student progress and readiness for termination of therapy
• Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom-based activities
• Attend scheduled speech therapy meetings
• Maintain and file reports and documents
• Perform equipment checks and maintenance
• Collect data for quality improvement
• Support the supervising SLP in research and training
• Comply with state and district policies and licensure rules
• Communicate with colleagues, students and parents about therapy goals
• Demonstrate professional, ethical behavior
• Telecommute work eligible as needed
