Ridgeview-2 in Waconia, MN, is seeking a part-time Dispatcher to coordinate communications between emergency and public safety units. You will gather information and dispatch resources, deploy vehicles, and monitor status and reporting systems to ensure timely responses.

This position is responsible for comprehending and coordinating communications and data between emergency and/or public safety units via a variety of telecommunication methods.
Gathers information and dispatches appropriate resources to emergency/non-emergency requests.
Provides effective coverage of geographic area by strategic deployment of vehicles and appropriate mutual aid coverage.
Maintains status of vehicle/equipment breakdowns, services and reporting mechanisms.
Demonstrates knowledge of all phone lines and appropriately gathers and disseminates information on a timely basis.
Provides appropriate medical instruction to callers.
Demonstrates working knowledge of monitoring devices and takes appropriate action when needed.
Provides clerical support for the department billing procedures.
Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
