We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Telecommunications Technician II to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex telecommunications systems. Your expertise in telecommunications equipment, network infrastructure, and communication protocols will be crucial to ensuring efficient, reliable telecommunications services. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
This is an on-site position at the University of Arizona Tucson Campus. The position participates in an on-call rotation for one week at a time, rotating among staff, and requires driving to other campus buildings for about one hour per day.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
