General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Telephone Technician II for the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN). You will perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom systems on customer sites and respond to emergencies as needed.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, AA/AS education, and experience with ISTs and microwave/satellite gear. U.S. citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in telecommunications.
• Experience with ISTs and microwave/satellite systems affecting voice transmissions.

Responsabilités

• Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
• Responds to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.
• Determines appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications and installs communication circuits.
• Exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment.
