Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Telecommunications Technician 1 to install cabling and equipment per plans and industry standards. You will gain knowledge of OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber optics, and structured cabling while contributing to healthcare, government, and mission-critical projects.

Candidate must have basic tool knowledge, blueprints, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel up to 25% may be required, with full-time employment and company benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in telecom installation/oversight of OSP/ISP copper, CCTV, DAS, fiber, and structured cabling.
• Must have a basic understanding of telecom systems, blueprints, and codes/standards.
• Ability to pass basic telecom knowledge test and read plans/specifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic/international) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install telecommunications cabling and equipment per plans and codes.
• Survey and document existing telecom infrastructure using tools and devices.
• Lead installation of cable from telecom rooms to work area outlets with proper bundling.
• Perform QA checks to ensure installations meet requirements and safety standards.
