Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Telecommunications Lead to oversee planning, management, and maintenance of AEDC’s communication infrastructure at Arnold AFB. You will supervise a team of about 15 technicians and coordinate with partners to ensure reliable, compliant operations.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom infrastructure, a Bachelor’s degree, and certifications such as Security+ CE or CCNA; BICSI OSP Designer certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired.
• Security+ CE or CCNA certification required, and BICSI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle management of telecommunications and RF systems, including cabling, long‑haul circuits, LMR, RF towers, mass notification, AV, and VTC facilities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations, cybersecurity, spectrum management, and asset lifecycle policies.
• Provide expert technical support, manage incidents and work orders, coordinate with vendors, and deliver strong customer service.
• Lead daily operations of a staff of ~15 technicians in telephone and radio maintenance, installation and remediation.
