Abacus Technology invites applications for a Telecommunications Lead to manage the AEDC communication infrastructure at Arnold AFB. The role covers planning, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning of telecom and RF systems, including VTC, PA/AV, and mass notification facilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom infrastructure with supervisory experience, and holds Security+ CE or CCNA with BICSI credentials. U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecommunications infrastructure and design.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Security+ CE or CCNA certification required; BICSI OSP Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle management of telecommunications and RF systems including cabling, long-haul circuits and RF tower equipment.
• Ensure systems meet industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI) and government regulations.
• Provide expert technical support and resolve telecommunications issues.
• Lead a staff of ~15 technicians in telephone and radio maintenance.
• Support configuration management, preventive maintenance, and reporting.
