Kenyon College is seeking a part-time Campus Safety Telecommunications Officer to support its dispatch operations. Shifts vary with coverage needs, including weekends and holidays, with a pay rate of $18.50–$20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include gathering and disseminating information on incidents, coordinating with Campus Safety leadership, and ensuring information is logged and reports prepared. The role requires hearing radio traffic and reading on a computer screen.
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Campus Safety Telecommunications Officer, Part-Time. Hours worked per week and shifts worked will be dependent on coverage needs, including weekends and possibly holidays. The rate of pay is $18.50 per hour between the hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm, $20.00 between the hours of 3:00pm to 7:00am. Part-Time Campus Safety Telecommunication Officers receive double their hourly pay rate when scheduled to work a shift during recognized college holidays. This is a collectively bargained position and without benefits.
This position is responsible for safety operations in the Office of Campus Safety through the dispatch center within the Office of Campus Safety. A Telecommunications Officer must show proficiency and support of the summarized duties and responsibilities listed below:
