Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, seeks a Telecommunications Designer to support data center projects across Milwaukee and other U.S. offices. You will design Outside Plant Pathways, MMR/IDF layouts, cable trays, and structured cabling to back the Controls Network using Revit and AutoCAD.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in low voltage systems, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills for cross‑disciplinary collaboration and site travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years designing low voltage systems for mission critical/data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform BIM/CAD design assignments for multiple engineering disciplines.
• Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit or equivalents.
• Design low voltage systems including telecommunications and security integrations.
• Meet schedules while delivering quality design packages.
• Mentor junior designers and support project teams through construction.
