Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, seeks a Lead Telecommunications Designer to join our Atlanta hybrid team. You will design Outside Plant pathways and building systems, develop MMR/IDF layouts, cable trays, WAP layouts, and structured cabling to support the Controls Network.

As a senior designer, you will mentor junior designers, lead telecom design projects, and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines across BIM/CAD workflows using Revit or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to perform BIM/CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D BIM Models using Revit or equivalent BIM program.
  • Design low voltage systems for buildings including telecommunications, audio visual, security, and control integrations.
  • Meet required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Lead Telecom design team on projects and mentor junior designers.
