Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, is seeking a Lead Telecommunications Designer to work on a hybrid schedule from our Atlanta, GA office. You will design Outside Plant pathways and building systems to support a robust Controls Network, with responsibilities spanning BIM/CAD design and multi-discipline collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings extensive Revit and AutoCAD experience and a passion for mission critical environments.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in lieu of a degree
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter
Ability to travel to project sites
Proven track record of safety compliance and policies

Responsibilities

Work independently on BIM/CAD design assignments supporting multiple engineering disciplines
Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit or equivalent
Design low voltage systems including telecommunications, AV, security, and controls integrations
Meet schedules while delivering quality work
Perform QA/QC of design packages
Support project teams during design and construction
Lead telecom design on projects and mentor junior designers
