Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP USA company, is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to design Outside Plant Pathways and building systems, supporting Controls Network with BIM/CAD designs using Revit or AutoCAD. The role emphasizes low voltage systems, layout, and coordination with multi-discipline teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5–7 years designing low voltage systems for high performing commercial, industrial, or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Design BIM/CAD drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit or equivalent BIM program.
• Design low voltage systems including telecommunications, audio visual, security, and control integrations.
• Prepare cable schedules and specifications.
• Lead telecom design team on projects and mentor junior designers.
• Perform QA/QC of design packages and support design/construction phases.
