Job summary

SRI Resources seeks a Telecommunications Architect/Engineer for a long-term contract in Orlando, FL. You will provide senior-level engineering, administration, troubleshooting, and support for a large on-premises Avaya environment.

Responsibilities include system upgrades, migrations, and 24/7 on-call coverage with a 50/50 remote/on-site hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate has extensive Avaya experience and strong networking skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Avaya Aura components: Communication Manager, System Manager, Session Manager.
• Experience with Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise.
• Experience with Avaya Aura Messaging and Application Enablement Services.
• Familiarity with Avaya Call Management System and G450/G650 Gateways.
• Strong SIP trunking and enterprise VoIP knowledge.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, DNS, DHCP, routing, NAT and firewalls.
• Linux-based server administration and virtualized environments.
• SIP and RTP troubleshooting, logs, traces, packet captures.
• Experience upgrading and migrating applications/servers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, troubleshoot, upgrade, and support on-premises Avaya Aura servers and applications.
• Troubleshoot complex voice, SIP, server, application, gateway, and network issues.
• Plan and perform system upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot SIP signaling, RTP/media, call routing, voice quality, trunking, device registration, and interoperability.
• Support Avaya media gateways, telephony interfaces, VoIP endpoints, and carrier connectivity.
• Troubleshoot integrations between Avaya systems and third-party apps.
• Perform root-cause analysis of recurring or complex issues.
• Provide advanced technical support and guidance to telecom team members.
• Collaborate with network, server, security, carrier, and vendor teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist with system architecture, capacity planning, disaster recovery, lifecycle planning, modernization efforts.

Telecommunications Architect / Engineer

SRI Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Telecommunications Architect / Engineer with a major organization in Orlando, FL.

Seeking an experienced Telecommunications Architect / Engineer to provide senior-level engineering, administration, troubleshooting, and support for a large, distributed on-premises Avaya telecommunications environment.

The environment includes VoIP, digital, and analog telephony, multiple core PBX systems, media gateways, SIP connectivity, messaging, call recording, workforce optimization, E911, and other integrated telecommunications applications.

This position is expected to operate on an approximately 50% remote / 50% on-site hybrid schedule. There will be an on-call rotation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, troubleshoot, upgrade, and support on-premises Avaya Aura servers and applications.


• Troubleshoot complex voice, SIP, server, application, gateway, and network-related issues.


• Plan and perform system upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance activities.


• Troubleshoot SIP signaling, RTP/media, call routing, voice quality, trunking, endpoint registration, and interoperability issues.


• Support Avaya media gateways, analog and digital interfaces, VoIP endpoints, and carrier connectivity.


• Troubleshoot integrations between Avaya systems and third-party telecommunications applications.


• Perform root-cause analysis of recurring or complex system issues.


• Provide advanced technical support and guidance to other telecommunications team members.


• Work with network, server, security, carrier, and vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.


• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.


• Assist with system architecture, capacity planning, disaster recovery, lifecycle planning, and telecommunications modernization efforts.

Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to phone installations, station programming, moves/adds/changes, help desk support, cloud-hosted phone systems, or endpoint support will not be a fit for this position.

Work Arrangement

• Approximately 50% remote / 50% on-site / on-call


• On-site work will be required for team interaction, system implementations, hardware-related issues, troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and other activities requiring physical access to telecommunications infrastructure.


• Some maintenance, upgrades, or critical incident response will require work outside normal business hours. There is an on-call rotation.
