TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications Technician for the Greater Fort Wayne Area on a 6-month contract with potential permanent hire. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom systems with end-user support and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and cabling.
• Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues.
• Configure and program telecommunications devices and systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless network connectivity.
• Provide technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving issues.
