Job summary

EquipmentShare is seeking a Telecommunications Administrator to deploy and maintain our VOIP telephony systems nationwide from our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO. You will collaborate with vendors, provide frontline support, and document configurations across locations.

The role emphasizes on-call readiness, continuous improvement, and staying current with telecom best practices. A strong background in networking and customer service is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Networking Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• CCNA or Network+ certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Networking and/or Telecommunications.
• Experience in Call Center administration, IVR systems, Enterprise Telecommunications Infrastructure including VoIP systems, Cloud-based technologies, PBX phone switching systems, Call Routing, Dial Plans, and reporting software

Responsibilities

• Administer, deploy, monitor and maintain EquipmentShare’s VOIP telephony systems nationwide.
• Work effectively with 3rd party vendors to deploy/troubleshoot new and existing systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to our staff/internal teams to efficiently solve problems.
• Provide tier 2 technical support as issues arise and be on call after-hours when necessary.
• Manage life cycle of hardware deployments, unified communication apps, migrations, etc. for all locations.
• Document existing and new environments in detail.
• Help maintain data and voice networks by troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with add’s, moves, and changes of telecommunications across locations.
• Travel to company locations within current and future markets as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and certifications.
• Assist in selecting and implementing new telecom technology incl. Cloud-based Contact Center and VoIP systems.
• Identify improvements to enhance telecom capabilities and reduce operating costs.
• Coordinate with staff and vendors for IT Infrastructure activities at new locations.
