Job summary

The Bergaila Companies is seeking a Telecom / Structured Cabling Engineer for a remote assignment. You will lead portions of very large and complex projects as a telecom scope owner, working with design and support staff to produce challenging packages.

Responsibilities include leading design from Outside Plant to backbone distribution, using AutoCAD, SmartPlant and Revit MEP to create coordinated 3D models, and ensuring NEC, TIA and other standards are met on multi-building projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in telecommunications design and construction.
• Experience leading a design team.
• Knowledge of TIA standards and NFPA 70 (NEC).
• Experience with start-up and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Design management from Outside Plant to backbone distribution systems.

We are seeking a Telecom / Structured CablingEngineer for a remote assignment. The selected candidate will lead portions of very large and complex projects as a telecom scope owner, working in conjunction with other telecom design and support staff, while collectively producing challenging design packages.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

This position can work remotely

Responsibilities

• Help lead the design of everything from Outside Plant (OSP) to inter / intra-building backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedules
• Leverage AutoCAD, SmartPlant and Revit MEP design software to create fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplines
• Complete all facets of design and calculations in accordance with the NEC, applicable TIA and other industry standards
• Interface directly with our client counterparts to design facilities to meet their needs

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year Technical Degree
• 5+ years experience in telecommunications design and construction
• Strong structured cabling design background
• Experience leading a telecommunications design team
• Experience editing design and construction specifications
• Experience estimating and scheduling design efforts for large multi-building projects with multiple phases and design packages
• Experience with start-up and commissioning of telecommunications systems
• Experience with Bluebeam and Navisworks
• Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards
• Knowledge of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) design practices
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements
