Betacom in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Estimator I to accurately calculate costs for telecom tower and cell site projects, ensuring bids are competitive and profitable. You will read drawings, prepare BOMs and SOWs, analyze labor and materials, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain thorough project records while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in estimating construction, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating construction projects, preferably telecom or civil.
• Ability to bid jobs, assemble proposals, and coordinate with construction, electrical and project teams.
• Strong understanding of the wireless project life cycle.
• Maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and calculate dimensions/materials as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Clean driving record and valid license; travel as needed.
• Good communication, reading and writing skills in English.

Responsabilités

• Read construction drawings and create BOMs and SOWs based on drawings.
• Break down labor and materials for all construction segments including installation and integration.
• Review project documentation to define scope of telecom construction work.
• Assist management in setting up jobs using negotiated bids from subcontractors.
• Calculate labor, materials, and equipment costs for projects including tower construction.
• Prepare change orders and estimates for build projects.
• Maintain relationships to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Use client bidding software for electronic bids.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and customers.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
