Job summary

Betacom, a telecom construction specialist, seeks an Estimator II to accurately calculate labor, materials, and equipment costs for tower and site development projects in Texas or North Carolina. You will prepare detailed bid proposals, analyze drawings, create BOMs and SOWs, and support pricing strategies to win profitable bids.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in estimating construction projects, preferably telecom/new build with civil background.
• Ability to bid jobs, assemble proposals, understand estimating process, collaborate with construction/electrical/PM teams.
• Strong understanding of the wireless project lifecycle.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines; calculate dimensions and materials.

Responsibilities

• Review project documentation and drawings to understand scope of telecom construction work.
• Read construction drawings and create BOMs and SOW based on drawings.
• Break down labor, materials, and equipment costs for projects.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and contribute to pricing strategies for competitive bids.
• Establish supplier/subcontractor relationships for competitive pricing.
• Prepare change order estimates and project estimates.
