Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Telecommunications Permit Specialist to manage the permitting process for telecom projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills are required, with experience in permit coordination and AutoCAD beneficial.

The role supports cross-functional teams, tracks permit statuses, and helps develop streamlined permitting strategies. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 2 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of permit coordination experience.
• Experience in telecommunications permitting.
• Proficient with permit tracking software and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the permitting process for telecommunications projects.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities.
• Track the status of permit applications and ensure timely approvals.
• Ability to use judgement on when to increase pressure on AHJ's.
• Maintain accurate records of all permit applications, approvals, and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide regular updates to project teams on the status of permits.
• Assist in the development and implementation of permitting strategies to streamline processes.
