Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Telecommunications Permit Specialist to manage permitting for telecom projects from intake to approvals. You will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while coordinating with authorities and project teams.

Strong communication, organizational, and drafting skills are essential. The role requires 2+ years in permit coordination, proficiency with Microsoft Office and permit-tracking software, and 1–2 years of AutoCAD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in permit coordination.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and permit tracking software. SmartSheet experience is a plus.
• 1-2 years experience working in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the permitting process for telecommunications projects.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities.
• Track the status of permit applications and ensure timely approvals.
• Ability to use judgement on when to increase pressure on AHJs.
• Maintain accurate records of all permit applications, approvals, and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide regular updates to project teams on the status of permits.
• Assist in the development and implementation of permitting strategies to streamline processes.
