Job summary

Johns Hopkins Intrastaff, the internal staffing arm of the Johns Hopkins Health System, is hiring a Telecom Network Technician at Howard County Medical Center in Columbia, MD.

The role supports telecom networks, diagnoses and resolves issues, installs and maintains telecom hardware, software, cabling, and related equipment. Mon-Fri, 8:00am–4:30pm, pay rate $30 per hour. A High School Diploma and 2+ years of telecom experience required. Avaya knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience supporting telecom networks.
• Experience troubleshooting telecom issues and handling installs.
• Knowledge of voice systems and analog services helpful.
• Familiarity with Avaya tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve telecom, network, and device issues.
• Install, replace, and maintain telecom hardware, software, cabling.
• Support administration and maintenance of telecom systems.
• Configure access switches and basic network settings.
• Coordinate cabling installations with Facilities and vendors.
• Communicate effectively with customers to support telecom needs.
• Maintain knowledge of voice systems and related management tools.
