Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a hands-on Telecom/Network Engineer to design, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise networks. You will configure Cisco Catalyst C9000 switches and C8000 routers, support access and distribution layers, and document all work while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will participate in architecture decisions and network strategy, ensuring robust, scalable deployments and clear technical communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

Job description

As a(n) Telecom/Network Engineer you will:

• Design, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
• Participate in technical direction, architecture design, and product-selection decisions.
• Configure and install Cisco switching and routing equipment.
• Support access-layer and distribution-layer network deployments.
• Troubleshoot network issues using appropriate OSI-layer methodology.
• Work independently on well-defined technical initiatives.
• Collaborate with network engineering, infrastructure, project, and business teams.
• Document network configurations, implementations, and troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate project status and technical information to stakeholders.
• Lead or coordinate small network-related projects.
• Coordinate activities involving internal and external technical resources.
• Provide input into short- and long-term network strategy and planning.
• Support complex technical issues and implementations that may have significant organizational impact.
• Learn and adopt new networking technologies as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Cisco Network Engineer with strong enterprise switching and routing experience, particularly with Catalyst C9000 switches and C8000 routers. The candidate should be capable of independently executing network installations and configurations, troubleshooting Layer 1-3 issues, documenting technical work, and collaborating effectively within a larger infrastructure engineering organization.

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

Networking

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts.
• Strong working knowledge of the OSI model, particularly Layers 1-3.
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues at the appropriate OSI layer.
• Strong switching and routing fundamentals.
• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure.

Cisco Technologies

• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco Catalyst C9000-series switches.
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco Catalyst C8000-series routers.
• Experience deploying network equipment at both: Access layer
• Distribution layer

Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.

• MEC (Multi-Chassis EtherChannel) configuration experience.
• SD-WAN deployment or administration experience.
• Experience with network management and monitoring tools.
• Basic understanding of desktop and server operating systems.
• Small-project leadership or project-management experience.

Pay Range And Benefits

Pay Range*: Between $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
