Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic and analytical Telecom Network Planner to join our client’s team in Paarl. You will forecast capacity, design expansion plans, and optimize resources to deliver cost-effective service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a telecom/engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in telecom network planning or design.
Deep knowledge of network architecture, transmission, IP networking, and 4G/5G.
Proficiency with planning tools or simulation software is advantageous.
Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop short-term and long-term network expansion plans based on traffic forecasts and technology evolution.
Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation analysis for transmission, core, and access layers.
Evaluate new technologies and propose integration into the network roadmap.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align plans with business objectives and budget.
Prepare reports and presentations on network evolution strategies, including cost-benefit analyses.
Identify bottlenecks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
