Placements24 is seeking a Remote Telecom Network Planner to shape the future of our network architecture from a fully remote setting. You will lead capacity planning, evaluate technologies, and develop deployment roadmaps across distributed teams.

The role requires 8+ years in telecom design, strong IP/OTN/DWDM knowledge, and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Competitive salary and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications network design, planning, or engineering.
• Deep knowledge of IP networking, OTN, DWDM, 4G/5G, and cloud networking.
• Proficient with network modeling and simulation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a remote, distributed team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines.
• Authorized to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term network capacity plans based on forecasts.
• Design and architect scalable telecom networks (fiber, wireless, IP).
• Evaluate new technologies and vendors, advising on adoption.
• Create network blueprints, topology diagrams, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to meet requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose optimization solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations.
• Document network planning policies and procedures.
• Assist in RFPs and vendor selection for equipment/services.
