Placements24 is assisting in recruiting a Senior Telecoms Fibre Network Planner for a Queenstown-based project. The role combines office planning with field collaboration to support the expansion of a fibre network, guiding investment decisions and high-speed service delivery.

You will develop detailed network plans, assess feasibility, document routes, and work with civil works teams, regulators, and contractors to ensure efficient deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years in telecoms network planning with fibre optics.
• Proficiency with network design software and GIS tools, e.g., AutoCAD and QGIS.
• Strong understanding of fibre optic technologies and deployment best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Telecoms Fibre Network Planner to join their team in Queenstown . This hybrid role is critical for the strategic design and expansion of their fibre optic network infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing detailed network plans, assessing feasibility, and ensuring the efficient deployment of new fibre routes. Your expertise will guide investment decisions and support the delivery of high-speed broadband services to new and existing customers. This position offers a blend of office-based planning and the opportunity to engage with field operations.

Key Responsibilities
