Job summary

Tri-Com Consulting Group in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead telecommunications initiatives, including wireless infrastructure upgrades, VoIP conversions, and campus network modernization.

You will develop project plans, track budgets and dependencies, and coordinate with Network Engineering, Operations, and external vendors while reporting to ITS leadership and the PMO.

Qualifications

• Experience managing technical or infrastructure projects.
• Strong planning and tracking with MS Project and Excel.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of telecom initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and reporting using MS Project and related tools.
• Track project budgets, funding allocations, and financial reconciliation in collaboration with the ITS Business Office.
• Coordinate work across technical teams including Network Engineering, Network Operations, Physical Infrastructure Planning, and external vendors.
• Oversee VoIP migration planning and building conversion efforts, including communication with campus stakeholders and coordination with service providers.
• Manage vendor relationships and support procurement, installation, and implementation activities.
• Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with project timelines and funding constraints.
• Provide regular status updates and reporting to ITS leadership and the PMO.
