Job summary

Pearce is seeking a Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers across the Seattle region. This is a field role for independent, self‑starters who are willing to travel and stay prepared for on‑call duties.

You will maintain and diagnose generators, perform performance checks, install fuel lines and controls, and respond to alarms while following safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators and reading blueprints or design specifications
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation
• Be responsible for responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms and be on call 24/7 if necessary
• Adhere to safety practices and attend designated safety and training meetings
