Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a TEM – Financial Management, Contracts & Cost Modeling Consultant to govern telecom spend across voice, data, mobility, and managed network services. You will develop forecasts, validate carrier pricing, and manage contract obligations, aligning spend with approved solutions.

You will partner with Network Engineering, TEM operations, Procurement, Legal, and Finance to support service lifecycle decisions, vendor negotiations, and audit-ready financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in technology operations.
• Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, security, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven track record in technology governance, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise telecom environments with multiple carriers and cost centers.

Responsibilities

• Delivers on technology operations for an assigned area with limited supervision to meet operational targets and governance of telecom infrastructure.
• Maintains technology standards, runbooks, governance patterns, and financial controls including invoice validation and cost management.
• Leads complex initiatives: forecasting, budgeting, contract renewals, and network modernization.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and financial controls.
• Provides guidance and training to engineers and other professionals; develops SOPs, dashboards, and training materials for telecom financial management.
• Translates objectives into practical technical roadmaps; develops forecasts, cost models, and business cases for carrier and infrastructure decisions.
• Monitors metrics and telemetry to identify issues and drive continuous improvements with financial impact.
• Serves as a technical contact for vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with financial and operational requirements.
• May lead high-priority incidents and coordinate resolution with minimal business impact.
• Diagnoses recurring problems and implements permanent fixes; reviews carrier proposals, service inventories, and contract terms to resolve issues.
