Job summary

Brightspeed seeks an experienced Supervisor, Field Operations to lead technicians in designated service areas, delivering reliable residential and business communications.

You will manage daily field operations, coordinate with contractors and unions, drive safety, training, and performance, and ensure Brightspeed products are deployed with a superior customer experience.

This role requires rotation, pager duty, possible overtime and holidays, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience managing telecom field teams.
• Strong training, coaching, and mentoring skills in a union environment.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word; familiarity with legacy systems.
• Knowledge of residential and business services, Local Network processes, and splicing/construction in telecom.
• Knowledge of contractor relations and field operations processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of outside and inside plant network services and technicians.
• Serve as the single point of contact between Brightspeed and contractors.
• Lead training, coaching and development for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead a team of technicians meeting attendance and performance standards.
• Represent Brightspeed with customers and government agencies.
• Collaborate with the union to maintain positive working relationships.
• Celebrate successes and motivate the team for continuous improvement.
