Job summary

Colonial Group in Heath, OH seeks a line worker for the Kinetic construction and engineering organization to install, repair, and maintain poles and cables in aerial and underground systems. You will run fiber and copper cables and help ensure safety on the job.

Expect weekend/holiday hours, standby, and overtime with significant travel. You will operate bucket trucks and heavy equipment, adhere to DOT standards, and support field engineering and permits as needed.

Qualifications

• Pole climbing certification is required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT pre-hire.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain poles, cables, and conduits.
• Install aerial cables (fiber and copper) and inspect transmission lines.
• Set up service for customers by installing, connecting, testing equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, ladders, and other heavy equipment safely.
• Read and follow design engineers’ instructions and safety procedures.
• Prepare engineering field notes and document activities.
