Job summary

Ledcor Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Designer to perform detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements and fiber designs for telecommunications networks, collaborating with the engineering team to produce constructible GPON designs and support field teams with safety and quality control.

The role combines office and field work, with 90% home-based work and occasional travel; a new Florence, Kentucky office will become the central hub, and staff will transition to in-office roles there

Qualifications

3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe. GIS is a plus.
Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments
Work with power company and design power routes and one-line schematics
Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes
Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records
Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes
Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment
