Position Responsibilities:

  • Driving accountability for the capital budgets and schedules associated with construction projects, along with the safety and quality of work performed.
  • Identify fiber routes, building entry, and internal routing requirements necessary to complete the project.
  • Plant Protection (This position plays a vital role in ensuring security and protection of our middle mile infrastructure)
  • Delegate permitting to permitting team or third-party engineering vendor(s).
  • Assess engineering and construction project costs using contractor matrix and issue work to contractors using RT.
  • Issue work orders to internal and external resources following company processes.
  • Update costing in financial systems to reflect current costs and compare against budgets.
  • Develop, coordinate and execute project schedules with contractors, property management, customers, vendors, stakeholders, municipalities, and government agencies.
  • Inspect active construction projects to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards.
  • Complete post-construction plant walk-outs including as-builts.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls to ensure communication and alignment.
  • Provide training and support for Fiber Construction Lead I–III.
  • Serve as a SME on fiber construction solutions and best practices.
  • Identify permitting authorities and complete permit applications.
  • Visit permitting authorities for applications, permits, and status updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of construction management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Expertise in safety practices, fiber routing, permitting, splicing, network topology, GIS, and related skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with municipalities, vendors, and agencies.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Living within 30 miles or 1-hour commute of the territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.

The salary range in Oregon is $80,000 - $128,900, plus bonus and benefits. Actual pay varies based on experience and skills.
