Astound Broadband is seeking a Construction Manager in Wilsonville, Oregon, responsible for ensuring quality and timely delivery of fiber construction services.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  1. Managing budgets, schedules, safety, and quality of construction projects.
  2. Identifying fiber routes and building entry requirements.
  3. Ensuring security of middle mile infrastructure (Plant Protection).
  4. Delegating permitting tasks to teams or third-party vendors.
  5. Assessing project costs and issuing work orders.
  6. Updating financial systems and developing project schedules.
  7. Inspecting ongoing projects for compliance and standards.
  8. Completing post-construction walk-outs and as-builts.
  9. Participating in meetings and ensuring effective communication.
  10. Providing training and support for Fiber Construction Leads.
  11. Serving as a subject matter expert on fiber construction solutions.
  12. Managing permitting processes with authorities and agencies.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. 10+ years of construction management experience.
  2. Ability to handle multiple projects of increasing complexity.
  3. Expertise in safety practices, fiber routing, permitting, splicing, network topology, GIS, and related skills.
  4. Strong relationship-building skills with authorities and vendors.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis.
  6. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  7. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Residency within 30 miles or a 1-hour commute of the territory.
  9. Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  10. High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

The salary range in Oregon is $80,000 - $128,900, plus bonuses and benefits, based on experience and qualifications.
