Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Ability to document design of systems using CAD or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of telecom concepts: trunking, SONET, TDM, T1s, Frame Relay, PBX, voicemail, ISDN, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Design major networking or communications systems and create diagrams.
• Serve as consultant to other units for networking needs.
• Act as project manager on minor projects or system upgrades.
• Assist with capacity planning and budget recommendations for projects.
• Create and maintain project documentation and equipment specs.
• Provide technical input for project planning and design.
