Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking technically skilled Telecom Engineers to lead FCC licensing, frequency coordination, and complex telecom design across enterprise systems. The role covers research, planning, and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines to design and provision critical telecom transport networks.

Seniority can be level II or III based on experience, with emphasis on regulatory compliance, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications or networking experience.
• Ability to document design of systems using CAD or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of trunking, SONET, TDM, Frame Relay, and related telecom concepts.
• Experience with FCC licensing, frequency coordination, and related regulatory processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct engineering research and analyses in specialized areas.
• Develop engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations and design documents.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines to design telecom transport systems.
• Design major network and communications systems and provisioning of connected systems.
• Maintain project timelines and budgets; deliver on commitments.
• Prepare bid packages for external engineering services and contracts.
• Review system and equipment performance and analyses.
