Job summary

CSEngineering seeks a Senior Telecommunications Designer to lead telecom infrastructure and construction oversight for the VA Milwaukee EHRM upgrade. Responsibilities include TRs, fiber/copper networks, and integration with the overall project.

The role combines technical telecom expertise with field inspections, QA, and coordination with Government and contractors. Offsite during pre-construction, then onsite at VA Milwaukee; full-time on contract.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related field.
Minimum six years of experience in design/construction of telecom and data infra.
Active BICSI RCDD certification.
Experience with TRs, MDF/IDF, fiber and copper cabling.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and as-builts.

Responsibilities

Review TR layouts and verify conformance with drawings, specs and standards.
Inspect fiber and copper installations, testing, and documentation.
Coordinate telecom requirements with electrical, IT/network and construction teams.
Participate in design reviews, inspections and government coordination meetings.
Maintain inspection records and support closeout and turnover.
