Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Communications Superintendent to organize and lead field operations for IT, cable, electrical, RF and telecom projects. You will coordinate crews, track progress, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders across field and office teams. Occasional nights and weekends plus travel up to 25% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent with 5 years of installation experience; or 10+ years with a high school diploma in IT/electrical fields.
• Experience on telecoms and security projects from $50k to $5M.
• Familiar with contract drawings, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Proficient with MS Office, CPM scheduling, cost estimating, modeling, AutoCAD and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple subcontractors, crews and project personnel.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Coordinate construction work per contract requirements and owner needs.
• Provide look-ahead schedules and arrange outages for telecom work.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.
