Job summary

Hotwire Communications seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee all aspects of new site construction, from on‑site management to safety and quality assurance. The role involves site walks, coordination with multiple teams, and rigorous recordkeeping to meet corporate standards.

The ideal candidate has telecom construction experience, strong budgeting and blueprint-reading skills, and the flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience.
• Five (5) years of technical experience with Wireless, Wi‑Fi, Fiber & Copper installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with construction management process, outside plant (aerial & underground), site acquisition and permitting.
• Knowledge of budget development and execution.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and as‑builds.
• Knowledge of telco, power, fiber, basic construction, vendor equipment requirements.
• Low voltage installation, troubleshooting and equipment knowledge.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible full‑time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Updates tracking systems to maintain project status and third party data accuracy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project tracking with complete accuracy.
• Visit sites during construction for walks and closeouts.
• Provide regular status updates to impacted departments and supervisors.
• Maintain records and distribute closeout documents timely.
• Act as safety observer and QA representative on site.
• Ensure compliant installation of coax, fiber, antennas and related hardware.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for service issue resolution.
• Assist with office tasks like supply ordering and event coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
