Job summary

Aecon Telecommunications in the United States seeks a Construction Manager to lead telecom construction activities in the field, coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and utilities. You will ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while supporting QA/QC and field documentation.

The role requires strong field operations experience, contract management, and excellent communication. A valid driver’s license is required, with opportunities across multiple states and a competitive pay

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical school program plus relevant construction experience.
• Experience in utility contracting with strong field-operations know-how.
• Solid knowledge of construction techniques and fundamentals.
• Experience with contract and subcontract management, documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build relationships and work in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Telecommunications experience is a strong asset.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between subcontractors, utilities, municipalities, clients, inspectors, unions.
• Coordinate and oversee daily field operations, including crew scheduling and workload management.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality reviews to monitor progress and workmanship.
• Ensure safety, environmental, permits, restoration, and traffic-management compliance.
• Maintain project records and reporting: inspection reports, logs, photos, updates.
• Identify field changes and risks; elevate to project team.
