Job summary

Olsson is hiring a Telecom CAD Technician to support BAU and Long-Haul fiber projects. You will assist with fiber optic design plans, permit exhibits, engineering drawings, and project documentation, working with engineers, project managers, designers, and permitting staff.

You will review field data, redlines, GIS/KMZ data, and client requirements to produce accurate CAD deliverables and permit plan sets, while contributing to quality control and adherence to Olsson standards.

Qualifications

1-3 years experience with CAD-related software (AutoCAD required).
GIS-related software experience (ESRI product preferred).
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; Bluebeam and Smartsheet experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

Review field data, redlines, GIS/KMZ files, utility information, survey data, and client requirements into CAD deliverables.
Prepare permit plan sets and supporting exhibits for agency approvals.
Support quality control reviews to ensure drawings meet client and Olsson standards.
Incorporate redlines and feedback in a timely, accurate manner.
Maintain awareness of project schedules and deliverable deadlines.
