Job summary

TriTechne is seeking a Telecommunications Cable Installer I to assist with installing and maintaining fiber optic and copper cabling. The role supports senior technicians, performing cable routing, terminations, testing, and documentation to ensure reliable network performance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic telecommunications knowledge, and strong manual dexterity. Outdoor work and lifting are required as part of field operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or coursework in telecommunications is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are required.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
• Willingness to work outdoors and lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and routing of telecom cables (fiber and copper) in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Assist in terminating and connecting cables, ensuring proper alignment and termination.
• Assist in cable testing to verify signal strength and quality with testing equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, terminations, and tests performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements in the field.
• Support in in-home service deliveries and customer interactions as needed.
