Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a mid-level 5G/Telecom Network Engineer to design, deploy, optimize, and maintain next-generation telecom networks in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in telecommunications or mobile network engineering.
- Experience with disaggregated network functions.
- Experience with IoT networks, MEC, and private 5G deployments.
- Experience with equipment from Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia, or Huawei.
- Knowledge of IP networking protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
- Knowledge of NFV, SDN, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware).
- Knowledge of 5G technologies and NG-RAN, gNodeB, 5G NR; experience with design, monitoring, troubleshooting tools (Ansible, NetConf, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED

- Assist in integration and testing of 5G networks with LTE/4G.
- End-to-end network optimization, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting.
- Configure SDN and NFV solutions.
- Support network rollouts, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime.
- Monitor network performance using Wireshark, NetScout, and other telemetry tools.
- Configure and troubleshoot core network components (routers, switches, base stations).
- Develop and maintain network documentation for 5G/telecom systems.
