Position Summary

The Tele-Intensivist provides virtual critical care to ICU patients via telemedicine, collaborating with on-site teams to develop care plans and implement best practices.

You will support patient care through telephone/video, using critical thinking to monitor, assess, and support patients, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Your role includes developing long-term relationships with facilities to enhance staff and patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing ventilators and titrating vasoactive infusions for critically ill patients.
2. Communicating with the care team and physicians as needed.
3. Treating critically ill medical and surgical patients.
4. Conducting proactive rounding to prevent deterioration.
5. Utilizing EMR and decision support tools for high-quality care.

Requirements

1. Effective communication with healthcare providers, managers, and patients.
2. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
3. Computer proficiency.
4. Proactive communication skills.
5. ACLS certification.
6. Reliable high-speed internet at home.
7. Experience with VTE, SUP, ventilation, and sedation protocols.
8. Residence in a compact state preferred.
9. Availability for 12-hour shifts (7PM - 7AM EST).
