CT Intensivist, SSUH (Bay Shore)
The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at Northwell Health’s South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join the team in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
South Shore University Hospital is the easternmost Long Island tertiary hospital for Northwell Health, located 30 miles east of NYC on Long Island's south shore. The hospital has 305 beds, with plans to expand to over 400. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery ICU is a 10-bed unit with an additional 4 step-down beds. The service line performs approximately 600 cardiac surgeries annually, including open procedures, transcatheter therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI.
Qualifications: Candidates must be fellowship trained and Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery. Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery. Candidates with relevant CTICU experience during fellowship will also be considered. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a shared vision of delivering unparalleled care through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
