Job summary

Bozeman Health seeks a Patient Care Tech to support patient care, including Tele-Companion and Tele-Tech programs, working with the nursing care team to assist with diagnostics, treatments, charting, and patient instruction.

Essential duties include competency assessment within 3 months, safety training, and adherence to standard precautions. Candidates should have a high school diploma and an AHA BLS certification; preferred candidates may hold Nurse Aide/EMT certs and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Preferred Nurse Aide or Emergency Medical Technician certification.
• Prior healthcare experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Meet the Patient Care Tech competency assessment/skills checklist within three months of hire.
• Complete Safety Companion/TeleCompanion training where applicable.
• Utilize Standard Precautions in caring for all patients.
• Provide for patient safety and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Perform basic nursing care with dignity and respect.
• Collect and document patient information including vital signs in the EHR.
• Order necessary supplies and perform designated basic treatments as area-specific.
• Participate in additional role-appropriate skills following training and demonstrated competence.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
